Olivia StreatfeildOlivia StreatfeildTalkTalk announces sponsorship of The X Factor

We’re delighted to announce that TalkTalk has signed as main sponsor to The X Factor. As I’m sure you can imagine, we’re pretty excited to be involved. With the show about to go into its sixth series, few could argue that it’s one of the television events of the year, and this year promises to be bigger than ever.

So why does a company like TalkTalk get involved in The X Factor? Well, aside from the association of being Britain’s brightest phone and broadband company and uncovering bright new stars, it’s simply that the chance to get involved in the nation’s favourite entertainment programme is too good to resist.

Over the coming weeks, TalkTalk will be bringing The X Factor fever home to our customers through themed products, downloadable X Factor parties – plus, the chance to win tickets to the live shows.

We’re also giving viewers the chance to become ‘bright stars’ themselves by creating their own light graffiti ‘bright-dance’ which could appear on prime time TV during The X Factor idents. Budding stars can visit www.talktalk.co.uk/xfactor to record their own ‘bright-dance’ and winning entries could be broadcast on ITV.

The show starts on ITV1 in August. We’ve had the pleasure of attending some of the auditions and we’ve already picked out some favourites – it’ll be interesting to see whether the judges and voters agree and they go all the way. The next few months will be a lot of fun.
