Mark SchmidMark SchmidThank you for helping us win at the Top 10 Broadband Awards 2009

Much excitement at TalkTalk HQ as we scooped top prize for Best Broadband & Phone Package at last night’s Top 10 Broadband Awards ceremony.

The TalkTalk team

The award, presented by BBC Click’s Spencer Kelly at the glitzy 24 Club in Soho, was decided by a judging panel from Top 10 Broadband. Entries were based on feedback from over 400,000 speed tests conducted on the Top 10 Broadband site and 1.5 million customer reviews and ratings.

Thanks to everyone who submitted reviews and conducted speed tests. As well as winning Best Phone & Broadband Package, we were delighted to be nominated for Best Value Broadband and Best Innovation Award, and congratulate all the other ISPs who took part.

We’ve got big plans for the next 12 months so are targeting a clean sweep at the awards next year!

Unlike the Oscars, acceptance speeches at the Top 10 Broadband Awards were banned (I had pages of well-chosen words at the ready of course) so no tears were shed at the podium – and thankfully Kanye West wasn’t around to spoil our moment in the limelight either . . .
