Tristia ClarkeTristia ClarkeJedward open the X Factor ‘Bright Star Studio’ to TalkTalk customers

We kicked off our sponsorship of this year’s X Factor in a burst of ‘neon rainbow’ today by giving our customers the chance to create their own music video and have it screened on national prime time TV. Our new online Bright Star Studio, launched at today’s event with the help of pop sensations John and Edward, allows users to record a unique neon light graffiti clip to their favourite tune.

At TalkTalk we know that The X Factor is best enjoyed at home in the company of family, so we transformed our Broadwick Street Customer Experience Centre into a cosy family living room, complete with comfy sofas, tasselled lamps and even the odd flying duck! TalkTalk customers were invited to become this year’s brightest stars by singing along to their favourite songs with the unique interactive Bright Star backdrop!

With backing vocals from one of Britain’s most infamous pairs of siblings, John and Edward Grimes, those who attended today’s event were able to ‘rock out’ to Bros’s ‘When Will I Be Famous’, Scouting for Girls’ ‘She’s So Lovely’ or even The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’. The best, or in some cases the worst, videos will be selected to play in TalkTalk indents during The X Factor commercial breaks!

The Bright Star Studio (www.talktalk.co.uk/xfactor) invites the public to sing along to their favourite track. Bright lights create the individual backgrounds, reacting to the singer’s tone and speed creating a personal music backdrop. Alternatively if you’re more of a band member than a front-man, you can instead play your own TalkTalk light set of drums or guitar.

There is still plenty of time for you and your friends to get involved – create your own Bright Star music clip at www.talktalk.co.uk/xfactor
