It’s always great to hear that you’ve been nominated for an award, so everyone here at TalkTalk was delighted when it was announced this week that we were in the running for five of the ten Top10.com Broadband Awards.
What makes the nominations all the more special is the fact that Top10.com is the UK’s most popular telecoms comparison website. Given that they’ve conducted over 1.5 million broadband speed tests and ratings over the past year, it’s fair to say they’re better placed than many to hand out these awards.
Looking at the categories, it’s a real reflection of the fact that people want so many different things from their telecoms package nowadays. For some people it’s all about their broadband and how fast it goes; others want a package that combines broadband and home phone and offers them a good deal; while some people just want a basic service that keeps costs down as much as possible. That’s one of the original reasons we introduced Boosts so our customers could tailor their packages to suit them.
On another note I was delighted to see that we’d been nominated for the Broadband Innovation award for our Next Generation Network developed by our team of engineers at TalkTalk Technology in Irlam, near Manchester.
