Tristia ClarkeTristia ClarkeMarking Safer Internet Day at our Customer Experience Centre

On 8th February there will be events across Europe to mark Safer Internet Day which aims to help people surf and enjoy the web as safely and securely as possible.

As a company that prides itself on providing the safest internet experience of any ISP – our new, industry-leading safety and security product is launching soon, for example – keeping our customers safe online is our top priority every day of the year.

But as an event now in its eighth year, Safer Internet Day is a useful opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of managing the risks online whilst still enjoying the amazing opportunities that the internet offers us all.

So as part of our contribution to the day this year we will be hosting a number of internet safety master classes at our Customer Experience Centre in London’s Soho.

Our experts will be on hand to teach you everything you need to know about protecting yourself and your family online. The sessions will run at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm on 8th February, and will aim to cover everything from how to use social networking sites safely, how to protect yourself from cyberbullying, avoiding online scams and shopping safely online. And if you want to bring your laptop in, we’ll even be able to scan it for viruses for you. We’ll also have some useful internet safety advice for you to take away.

Don’t worry if you miss the start of a session – feel free to drop in and our experts can make sure you catch up with their top tips and information.

The sessions are open to TalkTalk customers and the general public alike, and you can book your place now by calling 0800 9555 111. We look forward to seeing some of you there.
